Congratulations to Olga and George on their recent wedding at Mohonk Mountain House! Here are some highlights from their perfect autumn day at the Hudson Valley resort.
Our coverage began early in the morning with portraits of our bride and her self-made bouquet of white roses, followed by portraits with her little sister who served as flower girl.
Then it was onto a first look with our groom seeing his bride to be for the first time in her wedding attire on the catwalks surrounding the mountain house.
Then it was onto the ceremony at Mohonk’s Victorian Parlor, a space that we really love for all its architectural details. The nuptials were officiated by the Reverend Tom Hickey to the music of the Bardavon String Quartet.
Following the ceremony, there was the signing of the marriage certificate in a room directly across from the Victorian Parlor.
After the signing, the wedding celebration moved to Mohonk’s West Dining Room where we photographed the details before the guests arrived.
After the guests were seated, the bride and groom made their appearance and performed their elegant first dance.
This was followed by parent dances.
Next came a wedding tradition we always look forward to — a hora!
The day wound down with speeches from the father of the bride, the maid of honor, and best man, plus a funny dance show from the friends of the bride and groom.
The festivities ended with the bride and groom cutting the wedding cake — our bride having a great big laugh as her new hubbie tries to cut the perfect first slice of wedding cake. Love this moment!
